I agree! Lord I tried to resist the creamy crack. But I’m soooo tired of the millions of products and the carpel tunnel (jk) I tried for 7 years. Having to twist before bed is a pain…but if you don’t you will have a big problem in the morning. So I’m on YT seeing more and more women going back. I’m still considering it. You hair looks great👏🏾

Honestly, so many of us have REALLY tried ! literally. Exactly that, all the hair products, the routine, the care 😩...What I've learnt is that whatever style we keep it's going to demand some level of aftercare, everyone just has to select what level they are willing to manage and for me.. it's gotta be relaxed because that's the level I can deal with. Def take time to think it over but do what is best for you 🙂 and thank you 🥰 x

I totally hear that! 💃🙂, I did another video some months or year after this one (it's in my hair & beauty playlist). Had to cut my hair 😭due to profuse sweating following months of regular gym life. I miss my relaxed hair everyday it's just so beautiful, so definitely enjoy your reversion I'm sure it looks stunning! 🥰☺x

I finally relaxed my hair after 11 years. I feel relieved. I was heavily dependent on hair stylists to do Box Braids all the time and while I still go to the hair salon, it saves me time to do more things important.

And this is exactly why I went back too, time becomes more precious as we grow and my hair became a low priority. Even now, having had to go back again because of my gym life, I'm just leaving it as it is because I don't have the availability to spend time on it x

As a white person, I always thought that it was easier for black women to keep their hair natural rather than straighten it. I had been straightening my thick, extremely coarse curly long hair for 10 years and needed a break from it - then COVID hit and I had an excuse not to blow it out and flat iron it. Now that I've spent 2 years with my hair growing in even coarser and curlier than I remember it, I'm starting to think about going back to straightening it again. The only problem is blowing it dry is like a full body workout that takes 35-40 minutes!

I don't want to speak for everyone but for all the black women I personally know (including myself), looking after our hair is an absolute task. For many of us we have to dedicate the weekend to it when it's time to wash/condition/style etc. Add the ongoing maintenance and yep it's a chore! It sounds like your hair type has your work cut out for you too though 😭😫I I stand in solidarity with you ❤xx

First off I am not a natural hair nazi I watch relaxer videos because they are interesting . This is just my advice on dealing with natural textures, it doesn’t have to be a pain trust me I understand I’ve been natural for years. I know it’s hard. Remember less is more with natural hair especially when you want it to grow long and healthy. When dealing with natural hair all you have to do is twist it once on wash day and leave it alone lol or do whatever style then you don’t have to deal with it. The problem is wanting to do so many protective styles to protect natural hair when you really don’t have to. What makes it easier to deal with natural hair is just to pick one day out the week to self care and just have patience and care 😊 Happy healthy hair journey whatever it is.

When I say self are day I mean pick a day like how you would to go get your nails done or hair done in the salon🧡

Thank you for your advice! - although it might be too late for me lol unless I revert back to natural hair in future, what you've said is likely to prove very helpful to anyone who is in the 'umming and arring' stage as such. I know I've shared my own experience but I still love natural hair (our personal relationship just didn't work out 😭) but thank you so much for the advice and hopefully like I've said, other women will see your note and take it as food for thought before deciding on how to move forward 🥰xx
