When I was in fourth grade I was better at makeup than I am now. My mom said I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup to school but I did anyway. She only caught me once. I did really natural makeup so I guess that’s why I only got caught when she walked in on me putting it on damn y’all are getting mad about something that happened literal years ago like chill 💀

You're still lucky in my school it was a total no no. No makeup of any kind, the most that was allowed was moisturizer and clear lip balm sometimes perfume for students who played sports before class, so that no one dies due to the sweaty smell lol

@@gianna526 it's because you came to school to learn and study not to show off you beauty if that makes sense. My school has same uniform for everyone so that students feel that they're equal. So we don't have the pressure to look good and probably that's why we have no bullying in school.

I used to wear heavier makeup than I do now as in dry often cakey makeup and a lot of it it was visible. And I used to get compliments even from teachers saying I looked beautiful or how does my makeup look so good after 6 hours? And they were all female teachers. I would wear heels to school and get judgy looks from other students but praises from some teachers. Once a teacher came to school wearing heels and she literally said she did it because I do it too. Or a teacher complimented me for even being able to walk in them. And there are all very true stories. But I wouldn't do it everyday. I'd wear makeup once a week if I was willing to wake up early enough for it or heels if I felt like it. But if you get picked on for wearing makeup. Sis there's a problem here. Expecially if you're of the opposite gender. Let people do whatever. What's so offensive about makeup?

@@fireystella I had classmates who would wear heavy makeup. As in reapplying powder constantly at recess. They would wear mostly cheap (garbage looking) heavy full coverage foundation. I have nothing wrong with cheap makeup. My favourite foundation is something like €20. But theirs was horrible! One girl even told me she spent €25 on that garbage. That's borderline expensive to be looking that textured. Then they'd use heavy concealer. One girl even wearing concealer before foundation and after. Tons of powder to the point one girl looked so whitewashed it was crazy. Yes she was white but she made herself look ghostly white with heavy pink (almost clowny) cheeks. Big blocky almost black brows and clumpy mascara and that was all. Then they acted all cool like they were the best. I once overheard one guy say she saw one of the girls once without makeup and he was floored at the difference. She looked like a totally different person. And they'd come to school like this every single day. They'd brag about needing to wake up half an hour earlier just to put makeup on. While on most days I would rather sleep than get up to do my makeup I care that little about it. I did get better at my makeup. So good indeed that I once got probably the most overwhelming compliment ever. A classmate of mine said she bought a new highliter palette but she didn't know how to use it. And then said: "I'm not as good as you." my heart was all warm and fuzzy. Since she was one of the more popular girls and I was labelled as a bit of a weirdo who likes to hit boys that annoy her.

I was too scared to wear heavy or noticeable makeup in middle school so I only wore mascara even though I really wanted to wear eyeshadow and eyeliner. Kind of glad I didn't though bc my eyeliner and makeup skills in general sucked. Now I'm scared to go to school without makeup on. a pick me refers to a woman who puts down other women, commonly for male attention. a common pick me putdown is "omg i ONLY wear mascara, i could NEVER wear a full face of makeup, it looks so cakey and guys prefer natural anyway" (ironically most of these people dont wear just mascara) . but if you just wear mascara, it dosent make you a pick me if you dont put down other women in the process, so essentially there is no pick me makeup and the idea of calling one style of makeup "pick me makeup" is weirdly almost pick me in itself because its putting down a style of makeup 😂

When I was in 10th grade, I wore some makeup (natural makeup) at the apartment of the year then stop because I choose to stay in bed more. And one day one of my classmates comes to me before class and ask "you're yellow, are you wearing foundation?" I answered "no, it's just my skin color" because I wasn't wearing any makeup that day ( and the lighting of the place was terrible) and she suddenly strongly swipe her finger on my cheek to see if I was telling the truth, without ANY permission... Mine is similar: I first put on a moisturizer, then a sunscreen which is a little whitening, then I put on a little bit power, I wear my lipgloss as a blush, I do a little bit of aegyo style, curl my eyelashes and then put Vaseline on them, then I lift my eyebrows and wear a lipgloss. I never got in trouble for wearing makeup, but I would say the closet to that I got was when I went through monochrome black/white eyeshadow phase during a brief period in my sophomore year of highschool. My mom hated that I did it and hated anything I did that even remotely resembled alternative style/culture. She's a very close minded person that would take way more time and space than is allowed here to truly unpack. But, other than that I had full artistic freedom with my hair and makeup. I’m now and senior high school and I think it’s because it’s 2022 and people now view makeup differently than before, that’s why they’re allowing us to wear makeup, nail polish, ear piercings and even have our hair colored! Though they said it was “discouraged” they did not say anything about it being prohibited, my friends would dye their hair in different colors, have their nails done, have tons of ear piercings and even wear eyeliner and stuff to school!💖 This makes me feel much more confident in wearing makeup to school which I love (I used to only wear makeup when I’m out alone or with my family, I used to never wear makeup when I’m with my classmates or friends)

As someone who graduated like 10 years ago I'm surprised that nowadays high school kids in my country can wear makeup at school. Well I could wear makeup to school before but my school was kind of different, most kids from other schools couldnt even bring sunscreen.

My secondary (ages 11-16) school was an academy part of a federation, so our presentation was a bit stricter than other schools. There was a team of teachers that would stand at the main entrance gate with clipboards. Every morning they would check: everyone’s skirt length (yes all girls), our skirts would have to be two fingers below the knee at maximum shortness, shoes as we were only allowed to wear all black shoes no trainers or anything that had even a pinky nail sized amount of colour including the soles and laces, socks, hairbands and other essential accessories had to be black or grey, jewellery we could wear gold or silver studs on our lobes only, coats had to be black and our blazer and jumper had to be on at all times. Thats uniform, now hair and makeup 🤡 hair had to be natural, no dyed bright colours and if you’re brunette you can’t go blonde and vice versa, and as for makeup strictly nothing! That didn’t stop anyone from waking up and choosing violence 🤣 rolled up skirts and caked up faces with piercings for the win.

You dunno how your powder got like that? It's called hard pan and basically happens because oil gets into the top layer of powder and makes it go hard/won't come out on a brush. You can get rid of it by using normal sticky tape, just lay the tape over the hard areas and pull back, keep doing it till the hard patch is no more. Don't scrape it off cos you'll waste your product. Hope it helps 🙏 🙂

It seem that my teachers only know blush, eyeshadow, and glittery things as makeup lol. So those were like a no go when I was in school. They would immediately catch you if you're using it. My friend had super dry lips so she always had her lipbalm on her. If my memory is correct, this lipbalm was medicated but it also had some glitter. She had to go in counseling room several times a year just to explain that her lips would crack and bleed without the lipbalm. Other girls had sheer color and color changing lipbalm (no glitter) and were never caught. When I was in high school, some seniors also diss juniors for using moisturizer or body lotion. Idk where and how they got that, but apparently it is too much makeup and the smell is too attractive. Wut 🤨

I'll preface this by saying I was a heavily scene/emo kid in school and all of the girls I knew wore light emo or goth makeup. The pick me girls wore mascara (and probably a full face but wouldn't admit it) and acted like they were more "naturally pretty" to guys.

No one wears makeup in my school .... and I don't too .....like it's not allowed ... All I do is put some moisturising cream on my face and a light orange lip balm .... That's all I use for school

In third grade I wore tinted SUNSCREEN to school, and this one pick me girl yelled at me because I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup at school and I explained how teachers wore makeup, the fith graders wore makeup, and I wasn’t even wearing makeup.
