It’s ok to still spend “time” with your mom. My mom passed 5/28/2005, I still speak to her each night. Maybe, to keep from dwelling on the sadness, set an amount of time each day dedicated to her.❤

It's funny how the timing goes for different school districts. Some got out for summer at the beginning of May, and go back at the beginning of August, which is only about 4 to 6 weeks away. So I guess it's technically not too early for the back-to-school supplies being out already for some.

In the south, school lets out end of May and they go back early August. July is typically when one would start to gather supplies. Depending on what part of the country you live will determine when inventory is being released. Many, many years ago I moved from NY to GA as a school aged child and it was very difficult to adjust to going back to school BEFORE Labor Day.

I’m with you, NY State, but I think the weird school years are based on weather. Schools weren’t built with Air Conditioning units back in the day and we swelter every summer up here now. 🇨🇦
