I thought this too. Just the general focus on appearance in this household really bothers me, a full face of makeup up every day may make Anna feel better but it also subliminally tells her daughter’s natural isn’t good enough. Deny all she wants but that’s a strong ethos to grow up seeing. That focus on how you look and what you wear matters so much is toxic for young girls. Buying primer and concealer for a young girl is crazy. Some mascara and lip products are enough to start having fun and experimenting with identity and growing up.

Lessi needs how to test skincare products lessons based on how to avoid getting everyone’s germs slathered on her face. lol. She’s so little she doesn’t need skincare other than maybe some moisturizer in winter and some chapstick for funzies. Anna you crack me up. Telling Lessi not to walk out of the store with merchandise and then the case against the small purse, “If I had a powderpuff I would powder my face right now.” Looking sad and pathetic about it. You are so funny. We’ve all been there too and it is always on the warm shiny faced days. The lessons in makeup purchasing tho was cute. My mom started me with basic drug store stuff and moved on to teaching me the makeup counter stuff when I became a teen and she took me for a makeover at the counter and bought all the products they suggested for me bc she had no clue what to to choose. She used drugstore makeup all her life and isn’t into beauty I think bc she doesn’t feel pretty and worth that level of self care. Her 88th bday is Friday and i have no clue what to get her. She’s in memory care and so needs nothing really. Wish I could take her out for a senior makeup advisor or mani pedi for fun but she’s not mobile so can’t happen. Plus she lives 3000 miles away. Enjoy the mom and daughter shopping. Ps Emilia’s look at the bum pockets comment 😂😂😂😂.

The girls really don't need moisturiser at their age. I see so many youtubers young girls using makeup related products that they don't need. I can understand when they get to teenagers having to get things for acne.
