The ocean sounds while standing in those groves of trees was sublime. Nice to see you and Bella had the run of things sans others! I noticed when you were speaking of Bella's injury there was a gorgeous big tree on the right side, I wonder was that a cedar? @9:16 thanks for the wet walk in the woods.

I can’t really tell from looking at the video, but if it’s not a spruce tree, then it’s a western red cedar probably a spruce though

14:55 That super quick, vivid blue bruising on the pores along with the yellow stipe and dark cap makes me think it's Caloboletus frustosus, the dark bitter bolete. Way too bitter to eat. 15:53 This is a really cool one! Porphyrellus porphyrosporus. Used to be called Tylopilus porphyrosporus and Tylopilus pseudoscaber. Common name is the Dusky Bolete. Pretty much only grows in costal spruce forests here in the USA and is fairly uncommon because of that. Even in the habitat it's a little scarce, but that might just be because it's hard to see because it's so well camouflaged. This one might be getting a new species name since the current name is a European species that associates with hardwoods. Every book I have that even mentions this one has no data on edibility. 16:56 That one's probably Amanita augusta with those yellow universal veil fragments and yellow tint to the anulus. These are normally pretty rare but I've run into several times this year.
