BACK TO SMYTHS OR SMITHS LOL THE UK's BIGGEST TOY SHOP CHAIN!!!!

My adventures into the world of mainstream toy shops here in the UK!!
Since the fall of Toys R us, Woolworths and other companies there has been a hole in the UK market for a 'Major' main stream toy shop within the UK!!! Smyths has taken the challenge to fill the void!
I, myself tend to stay away from the main stream shops and stay strictly RETRO! However I took the plunge and visited Smyths in Crayford given the come back of retro related lines and Smyths having the ability stock and understand what the customers and collectors actually want with a real mixed of items for children to collectors with very reasonable prices and price points for all consumers.
They offer a real mixed from Lego to AEW wrestling figures with a number of exclusive items / products.
Smyths Toys Superstore has over 100 store locations throughout the UK and Ireland. The leading toy retailer which carries all the top brands and prides themselves on offering the most competitive prices on the best possible selection of products including toys, baby, outdoor and software games.

Smyths is a great shop to visit for collection purposes. I'm also chasing that Turtles collection game at the moment due to the price of some of the games on there. I tried the super street fighter 2version arcade cabinet game so the Mortal Kombat version looks cool.

Smyths does have its good moments. You can pick a decent bargain from there for sure. May have to check out the Aew figures for sure. Have a good one

I agree, and with the the lack of completion as toys r us has closed and the only other toy shop is the entertainer, they are free to a charge whatever they please as the entertainers prices aren’t much better.

Interesting how things differ the further south you go I’m guessing it’s because down south areas are more built up and their is less ground space so they have to utilise the space upwards rather than outwards.

Smyths is great for children and the casual toy collector, but it still lacks the impressiveness of Toys R Us. And their care of product, for example with their action figures on cardbacks, is especially lacking.

Plus the absolute awesome ads ……. It’s toys of a million all under one roof!! I actually couldn’t get the donkey kong figure out from the shelf and was struggling to think how the hell they got it in there

I think Hamleys is very specific in what they sell and it’s something harder to find certain toys you are after. It’s like a museum in there. I swear years ago they had the floor piano out of big in there

So it’s always stuck with me, I showed him the videos in the past having a laugh and he says it’s definitely not Smiths, so I always gone between the two. My heart tells me one thing and head another 😂
