At @0:56 looks like Narva mnt crossing the Pirita Jõgi At @3:02 neat to see sections of the Pirita-Kose-Kloostrimetsa Circuit. This is Kloostrimetsa tee. In 1997, I could hear super bike motors begin at 03:00 practicing for the day's race. Neat to have been there at race time. Near the finish line across the river along Kose tee / Haljas tee I recall seeing large broadcast TV trailers recording the live race event. At @5:56 the Merivälja bus stop shelter at the Merivälja pier. At @6:51 left / North side of Pirita tee, that building was a restaurant back then.... served hamburgers with Estonian pink sauce. Yum. At @7:39 - @7:46 the Tallinn skyline across the sea before the new modern skyscrapers were added. At @9:20 probably cranes to unload cargo ships.... exchanged now for passenger ferry ports. At @10:02 on the left J. Poska bus stop. At @12:16 on the right around here should be a tall yellow Soviet era building. Now the building has a new silver front and several towers added. At @12:50 ahead is the park next to the Viru Hotel, Tammsaare Park. To the right (out of view) is Viru tee into Vanalinn. At @12:56 there is a park on the right side of the street, Musumägi (Kissy Hill).... good name! 😘 At @13:56 now auto is approaching on the right Freedom Square and the Jaani kirik (Saint John's Church). At @14:02 left of the tram I believe is the former building, which has now been replaced by a glass front interestingly shaped building, named Kawe Plaza. At @14:34 on the right side used to be Tennis courts... removed and turned into parking for autos. At @14:49 twin steeples ahead of Kaarli kirik (Charles Church). At 15:19 Soviet overhead street lights powered with three phase power, three hots and a neutral. At 15:53 bridge ahead is the railroad track bridge, which leads to the right to Balti Jaam, Tallinn's central train station. At @19:03 view is headed North along Pärnu mnt. road bridge crossing the railroad tracks headed East from Balti Jaam. At @19:14 on the right is sign for a circular staircase down to the ground level.... there is the original street there at ground level. Quite similar to scene from the opening / beginning of the 1980 film Xanadu staring Olivia Newton-John. At @20:45 large black building (sky scraper) on the left of the road is the Olympic Hotel, built for the 1980 Soviet Union Olympics, the sailing events were held in occupied Estonia. At @22:01 back side view of the Tallinn Song Festival shell. At @25:09 tall tower is the Tallinn TV Tower, also build just before the 1980 Olympics. At @25:17 possibly "Oh My!" Are those buildings along Peterburi tee the former GAI Automobile Inspection Check-Point buildings?! At @25:31 Mardu steam plant. At @28:34 tower at the distance is Oleviste kirik (St. Olaf's Church) tallest building in the world when it was built. At #31:59 nice view of Kaarli kirik. At @32:02 view of the surface parking lot which was at Freedom Square... before it was put underground. At @33:47 a crossing guard shack.... person would be inside, push a switch manually when a train would approach to turn on the crossing protection. At @52:56 glimpse of a light color brick building... that is the Kosmos Theatre. At @55:40 Balti Jaam train station on the left. At @56:06 view of Vanalinn (Old Town) from its West side. At @57:04 auto turns left to head towards the Kopli neighborhood of Tallinn. At @59:08 railroad bridge above sunken road is the tracks at the North end of the freight railyard. At @59:28 I think the camera begins again right at a standard gauge railroad / tram narrow gauge crossing diamonds. Standard gauge railroad also crosses the street. At @1:00:03 curved roof building beyond the tram tracks is also part of Balti Jaam, main Tallinn train station. At @1:00:40 Oh! There used to be a steam engine parked there! I did not remember that! I remembered the railroad buildings, most of which have been torn down. At @1:02:06 at the right of the street, an Estonian "STOPP" sign... yes, spelled that way (five letters). Excellent memories, thank you. Sharing!!!

Non è bene che il video è senza suono, e non si può sentire i suoni di quel bellissimo tempo, però in compenso c'è la musica di quel periodo. È bellissimo che questo video esiste e noi possiamo vedere l'epoca che se n'è già andata e fare un po' nostalgia. Жалко, что нет звука, но есть зато музыка тех лет, которая дополняет атмосферу. И это прекрасно, что это видео существует, и мы можем его посмотреть и увидеть уже ушедшую эпоху и поностальгировать
