Tell me about it! Now you understand when your mom used to say take your time and live your life and don't rush to grow up too fast. Life was magical before we knew about working long hours at sucky jobs, saving, credit scores, mortgages, car notes, assets, equity, and bills bills bills. Ahhhhh, to be young and carefree once again.... I wanna go back! Does anyone know where I can find a TARDIS?! 😩

This movie appeals to boomers and gen Xers. Boomers grew up watching the original surf movies along with Gilligan's Island and Leave it to Beaver, and gen Xers grew up watching Gilligan's Island and Leave it to Beaver in syndication over and over on TBS. Throw in Aunt Becky from Full House, Pee Wee Herman, Fishbone and this movie is meta nostalgic.

Longtime fan of Annette, Frankie and the Beach movies. This film was a nice tribute to them. I had the pleasure of seeing Annette in person when I worked on the Sally show, but it was heartbreaking because she was already confined to a wheelchair due to the progression of her MS.

I contacted one of the writers, the director of the movie, and the actor who portrays the son and not one of them have a clue who would have the original track (without the dialogue played over it). I had the feeling I care more about this song than any of them! It's one of my favorite songs and it's one of my favorite movies. And it's a still a dream of mine to someday, somehow, get a 'clean' cut of this song. It's obvious that it was recorded professionally. Maybe Frankie Avalon could help? Anyway, it's time for a reissue of the soundtrack. I think they ought to release the definitive 'Beach Parties' CD collection with bonus tracks for each film.

Such a silly but fun little film! I got to work with Annette, shortly after she did this movie. Sadly, it was just as her health problems were beginning to show. She was also my cousin's Godmother, and I was at my Aunt and Uncle's house way back in the early 60s when she and the Mousketeers were there!

For all you Annette fans, if you look at her KZbin videos, you'll see her sing an early version of "Ska, Ska, Ska" with none other than Bob Hope on his show appearing on Nov. 20, 1964. Ska came to America via Millie Small's "My Boy Lollipop" that same year. There's a great documentary called "This Is Ska" from 1964, that has all the greats. All along, I thought the song was original to the 1987 film "Back to the Beach", when, in fact, it was Annette singing and dancing a reprise of her act 23 years before!! I always loved Annette!!

To quote Annette in one of my favorite if not the favorite songs that she sung back in the 60s“ A Girl Needs a Boy to love as of a couple of days ago I had that song on my iPhone and others from both Frankie Avalon and Annette, Mr. Avalon if you happen to read this from a young boy of the age of three through the 60s thank you for everything that you and Annette and the others did for the beach movies especially a big things from the senior citizen. Now you can look back on the best of the best vocals that have ever been on mother earth, I don’t drink anymore but if I had a glass of wine I would raise my glass to both you and Annette and say cheers and thank you for your very best

The future "accused" killer is O.J. Leather-jacketed Zed was played by gorgeous & talented Joe Holland. He grew up as Johnny Carson's step-son. Tragically like tens of thousands of other young gay men, Joe succumbed to AIDS, in 1994.
