In relation to the Marty in his Future outfit themed pop, the hat issue had something to do with the actual company that owns/makes the hat seen being worn by Marty in BTTF II having copyright problems with funko. They were originally going to make the pop just have the silver hat but I guess after the backlash they just agreed to whatever demand that company had so they could actually make it. There is now a Target exclusive with the actual reflective hat.

Actually Marty wore a silver hat and had that rainbow effect because of the lighting in the movie and they could not put it plastic

Go slow, use scissors. Cut the tape to fit top first and then separate pieces cut for the side. There’s no right or wrong way...just go for it if you mess up, you can peel it right off and try again.
