So freakin awesome!! I love all back to the future movies. The custom work you did is so cool! Would you be interested in making another locomotive like that with LC Bluetooth and a delorean with train wheels for me?

Soooo Cool BUD! "Its a science experiment" is my fav. quote! Do you plan on making the LED count up as if the tires were spinning up?

How did you make the DeLorean go on the rails and what type is it and where can I get it?
@Blair88mph2 жыл бұрын
Its a vitesse 1:43 model. The wheels and hubs are from a postwar 2055 pilot truck. Has a ground loop that wraps around the axles then 4 brushes on the center of the car that picks up the center rail. Brushes are directional so I dont like to move the car in the reverse.

Since you're using the BT James, do you know what the pin out is for the lionchief board? I have one but I'm unsure what the polarity is for each pin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@Blair88mph Жыл бұрын
I can probably tell you if you have a specific one you need. Some of the time i just have to follow the wires. The board has lablels on the top and i think more info on the back. I can translate if you can tell me what you need.
@TomixNscale89 Жыл бұрын
@@Blair88mph I was mainly interested in the polarity of the AC track input (PWR), speaker, and the pin out of the "lites" connector for the LEDs. My board has the silkscreen labels but no polarity.
@Blair88mph Жыл бұрын
@@TomixNscale89 for the power I believe red is on the outside of the board, however the power polarity doesnt matter as the bridge rectifier will flip whichever way it is to correct anyways. The speaker also doesnt matter as its ac. Only need polarity matching on phased speaker sets . As this is mono any way works. The lites are typically 1) front +, 2) front - ,3) rear +, 4) rear -, with 1 being closest to the power jack.

Will you move the dome and bell to be more accurate?
@Blair88mph2 жыл бұрын
Redoing the passenger cars is a higher pririty than the placent of the domes. The domes dont bother me its too much work to be worth it.

@@Blair88mph ok and I've thought about making this does the 4-4-0 tender shell fit on the frame for the 4-6-0 tender

@@OldIronVideo no the tender frame is also lionel.

What Locomotive shell did you start with?? Is that an MTH casting?
@Blair88mph2 жыл бұрын
Locomotive is a Williams with a mth smokestack. Tender is a lionel general tender.

@@Blair88mph That's really cool man. Could you show/send a close up pic of your pushing device for the loco and delorean? I've converted my Vitesse model and am trying to come up with a curve friendly pushing device.

@@bubbaskywalker3129 this is it. Video from 2018. There a bar then a magnet was attached to the front. Then covered in wood beams and the 50s tires. There is a hidden magnet in the bumper of the DeLorean that it snap onto. And lifts it up. Technically this is ground so it can't drag on the center rail which is hot causing a short. Hop this gives you a starting point. Is just hobby brass bars from Westlake hardware. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpfEeJiLftubaJY
