+Grant Turner I read an interview with Bob Gale where he said that the cartoon is in its own "what if" universe.

+Rnld Sweginegur Remember, the story for the TellTale video was consulted by Bob Gale. Took place a few months after Part 3.

+conker2756 I just realized that the game neatly clears up a plot-hole from the first one: _How does Doc get into the courthouse?_ Answer: He still had his old key from when he was in his father's employ as a court clerk.
@MKF309 жыл бұрын
Yeah the game and current comic ARE canon, as Bob confirmed. This show though was more of a what if. Though the one thing I thought was dumb about this reviewer that he said was "realistically that would break his neck" I mean....umm, it's a series about a car turned into a time machine, and this guy has issues with a head chopper? right....
@ThejewelCraft01008 жыл бұрын
Don't blame you. I wouldn't think this to be canon.
@MobileTheMid9 жыл бұрын
According to the creators, the show is non canon to the movies despite taking place after back to the future part 3

5:47 that Frankenstein's monster is green when the original Frankenstein's monster was yellow.

Loved it along with the rest of the trilogy. Theme song was poorly mixed and the animation can get a bit goofy but this was one of the highlights of Saturday mornings for me.

Ugh, Mike needs to stop with the sexual references. It's enough that he once made his own short lived comic strip series about a stereotype Mexican with graphic and obscene imagery.

Agreed this review was painful. I liked this show it wasn't perfect but wasn't hot garbage either.

Mike, you do realize this was a cartoon for children in the 90's? A lot of your nitpicking just seems to be that. I'm sorry if you have allowed yourself to not enjoy it based on an adults view of a child's show, but more shows from the 80's and 90's are exactly like that. Like Power Rangers or He-Man, watch those now and man are they bad. I do realize you reviewed this in 2012, I'm watching it again now as I got the recent Complete Adventures series on Blu-Ray(which this is only on DVD's). The criticism about the chicken thing I can understand and to some extent your right, but many times you learn a lesson as a kid but fall back on old habits, so that could be the case here. I do wonder though if Michael J Fox declined to return because they dumbed the character down. It seems weird since Bob Gale was involved in the series(I don't think Thomas Wilson, Mary Steenburgen or Christopher Lloyd would have said anything)that he didn't say anything about Marty's decline in personality.

It's a cartoon and not a film. As a result I don't really have a problem.

Second review video I've seen that complains about 1960s Doc not recognising Marty. But the movie plots are a similar mess of inconsistencies. The events of the first movie don't affect Marty's own memories of 1985, but they do affect a photograph in his pocket! Which is of his brother except the top half of his body is missing... Quite a medical curiosity. The logic of the movies is cartoonish already, but still entertaining.

Same voice. David Kaufman has been in the voice acting business for a long time. He was even Dexter in Freakazoid.

Why the fuck did Doc build another time machine? Didn't he want the thing destroyed back in the third film? Why did he even build the train time machine? Also, funny how Marty's name is Seamus, like the irish McFly from BTTF 3

I thought the show was really good. Personally I just thought that Doc Brown was the main character. The Brown family is a lot of fun to watch and the adventures that the Brown family and Marty go on were really cool. Even though it is one of those cartoons that is based off of live action movies, they did a decent job with that series. At first I thought doc brown was voiced by Christopher Lloyd, but after seeing that Dan Castellaneta it left me wondering why Christopher can't voice doc brown. Either way Dan did a good job voicing doc. He really nailed that role really well.

Fun fact: Rober Zemeckis said himself that there will be no continuations or prequels. Yet they made this cartoon as continuation, the Telltale game as continuation, the 2015 comics as prequel/continuation combo. Pretty weird, but I'm glad that they made the 2015 comics and the Telltale game (I hope they continue that).
@MrFusion5 жыл бұрын

The Frankensteins monster thing is just a nitpick, sorry, but so what if they had a Frankenstein that would be more recognizable to kids. You points about the baseball and roman episode are more valid though.

let them read the book and the 1994 movie. Frankinstin is the creator not the monster and his skin was yellow

The baseball episode should’ve been about Vern learning about Peewee McFly and wanting to use Doc’s invention to help him and make Marty happy, but Marty knowing that this could potentially lead to trouble and trying to stop Vern.
