Back To The Old School: Spirit Of Air Shuriken Omega

The Shuriken Omega sportkite by Spirit Of Air was their flagship competition model in the mid to late 90's. Framed in Avia G-Force UL and pultruded high modulus rods it performs quite well in low to moderate winds. Flown at the enormous Paal 3 beach on the Terschelling island in the north of Holland. This Omega is on loan from Mattieu Bernard! Thanks Matt!

What a beautifully wide open beach, looks like kite flyer's Heaven! Have you ever flown the Spirit of Air Omega XS?

Thanks! It’s a great beach for sure. Look up “noordsvaarder” on google maps! Whole island is kite heaven but usually strong winds. Didn’t try the XS yet. Should be quite a bit more radical. Know of any?

I also have the original. We flew them as a team back in the 90's. Mine was number 196. Also have a couple of the later Omega version (normal and high wind)
