I love a clothesline when l was young l have 7sisters 4 brothers had 4 clotheslines washing flannelite diapers on a scrub board and a wringer washer those were the days water from a pump and wood stove things were simple then

The clothes line reminds me of growing up in Maine on the farm. The clothes smelled so fresh drying outside. I am so glad I lived on a farm decades ago!

I love these ideas because it takes time for electricity to get built back up once their is a storm. The only thing you will have to worry about after storm would be your freezers with food and your fridge. Back up generators can take csre that until the electricity is back up. I bought lamps that used batteries they come in packs of 2 or 3 I bought 6 and kept batteries for those times and only needed them to use the lamps at night until bedtime.

Yess same here! I bought oil lamps and candle holders because I always say aslong as we have water we can live everything else is easy and I always worry about the water but yadel has a hookup to our well that hooks to our generator for water for us and animals we always stock up on food for them and we can cook on the fire and take showers if there’s water and food lots of food preserving to stay prepared the deep freezers and fridge will be hooked up to generator but the less we have on the generators the better 🤍 I hope you are doing well! I remember my mom and I hanging up all the family's clothes when I was 12 and 13 years old all the way up to when I got my first apartment in my 20s. I'm 69 and I truly miss those simpler days. 💞

My Grandma used to occasionally boil clothes on the stove. I don't know why but I remember it. She had a big, long clothesline upon which she hung everything from bed sheets to the "unmentionables" on the sturdy clothesline. The house still exists, but it was sold to a corporation because it is in an urban area, and they wanted the land. It makes me sad to see it empty of the people I love most, but time does that. I still have my memories, though.

Hi Kristina and Yadel, love this video how cute and fun to be able to watch the babies,I have one of those solar fountains so far it's been good.What a wonderful clothes line,I had my husband put one in for me I grew up with them.I have washbords and use them especially for delicates and building a skill of what to do if i had to do it all by hand, living in Ca we have to prep because they shut electric off alot in the summer 😑 I was raised to be able to sustain during situations.Love what you gusys are doing and your mindset.God bless you both 🕊️💚

I just started watching your videos and I enjoy them. This one with the clothes line… I hen you mentioned that’s how yodel did it in Cuba. I live in Tijuana Mexico we are a border town however I hang my clothes on a clothes line still. Here in Mexico people also still cook outside! ❤ I love it here!!
