Behind Backblaze - Part 1

A tour of the offices of Backblaze online backup with Gleb Budman sharing a bit of the company's history. We started Backblaze over 4 years ago and over that time a lot has improved. At our core we still believe in making it super easy to get backed up while offering great stuff to our customers; like unlimited storage, high performance, and great security.

Not long ago my computer started slowing down. About the same time there was talk about favorite backup systems on one of the forums. The name Backblaze was mentioned a number of times, and how it was affordable, would backup all the stuff on our hard drive and external hard drives. That was the big sell because we all had a zillion photos, and large Photoshop files. A week after my backup was completed my Mac crashed! I now have an EHD with all my files intact thanks to Backblaze.

There is no excuse for losing your children's photos. Think of it. Call me paranoid, but I double backup my data on TimeMachine and on Backblaze. TBH, I don't give a shit about my business data, but I am extremely careful about by children photos. Btw. I am NOT affiliated to Backblaze in any any way. I just recommend you to back up your data.

BackBlaze is the absolute worst online storage company you can do business with. They deleted my data based off of one email exchange with an ex-girlfriend of mine. I had 8 years worth of data back up with them. I had done business with them for three years. Don't do business with them. They will screw you over and won't compensate you for losing your data.
