Daniel 9 is called the 70 week prophecy of Daniel. It is considered by many Bible scholars as the backbone of Bible prophecy.

We can know "when" we are on God's prophetic calendar. It is written in the book of 2nd Esdras. Chapter 11 contains a prophecy that describes a line of American presidents, five of whom are still alive, and two of them are being kept until "the end." All of them are old men.
