We finally got enough snow to pull a toboggan of gear into the backcountry and I was stoked. Yes, there was a snow storm in the forecast, and we were expecting over a foot of snow, but I packed accordingly and was up for the adventure. I would be taking my new nylon hot tent and titanium wood stove into the backcountry by pulk, for the first time, and I was super excited about the reduced weight. Regardless, it was still a struggle, but I made it to a nice spot, set up camp and sat and watched the weather go crazy. Then, I got a really nice surprise at the end of the trip. Hope you enjoy my adventure in the Kawartha Highlands.
