This week we present Dixie Strings
Dixie Strings is a Gypsy Jazz/Bluegrass Trio. The band consists of Chris Tanti on guitar, Josh Bray on Gypsy Guitar and Keith Fenech on Upright Bass. All three members are coming from very different backgrounds in music. Chris's guitar playing adds elements of Fingerstyle, Country and Bluegrass to the music, while Josh's experience of playing in various Manouche and Swing style bands really outlines the traditional Gypsy sound with his solid rhythm and phrasing. Keith holds the low end on the Upright bass giving a solid foundation with walking style basslines tieing both styles together.
