You can do more in B4a than in firebase except for the push notification. I hope you guys working on it.

Push notifications will be awesome!!

We are always working to make our product better and better, Kean! Did you know that you can customize most of the Push Notification settings by editing the JSON payload on the dashboard? Thank you for your comment and participation in the channel! ;)

I understand Flutter is normally used for Front-end/GUI development, but is it possible to develop a Flutter app that could act as a WIFI hotspot? i.e. use the antenna/radio to transmit an SSID, and share my mobile connection when someone enters the correct WPA2 password? Does such a backend-library exist, or would this type of app require writing low-level code using Android Studio / Java?

Hey Ben Nguyen! Thank you for te question! Theoretically you can, but you gotta remember that Flutter is a SDK that relies on the official APIs from Apple and Google, so again, theoretically you could, but what you need to see is if those APIs will allow for such solution to run. Specially with Apple, which can be VERY restrictive on accesses like that.

what are the advantages of Back4App over Firebase?
@Back4App2 жыл бұрын
Hey Thomas! Thank you for watching the videos and for the amazing question! Well, in my opinion we have a few key advantages over Firebase: - We work with a 100% open source stack, so you can trust the code and even run it yourself if you wish. - We have more competitive pricing and are more predictable when scaling. - We support environment customization, which they don't. - We have an amazingly good Customer Support. - We can tailor a plan to fit your needs and budget. among others. Those are a few of the reasons that make me think we are a very good solution for most people. ;)

I am studying B4A as a backend for my Flutter Apps and I belive that is better than Firebase. I hope that B4A start to make more videos about Flutter.

I recently uploaded my app with firebase backend I have around 900 daily active users increasing regularly and firebase has charged me around 40 dollars in just 3 weeks What approx money i will be paying in B4A kindly help I am a student and firebase looks like out of budget

That is difficult to answer as there are other variables involved, not just the number of users. What I can tell you for sure is: independently of the price, it WILL be cheaper to run with us than it is with the same structure in Firebase. We are very very competitive price wise.

Exactly what I was wondering

This is marketing, not even opinion. Best backend for Flutter will always be a REAL BACKEND. The title is misleading. The best options for a backend application will always be Go, Rust and C++

And btw, at some performance cost, you can also use DART

Where exactly the title is misleading when it does show an option of Backend for your Flutter App? "Best" depends on personal opinion. What is best for you might not be for me and vice versa.
