ZZ, your “story” method, i.e., forecasting possibilities based on good and bad rolls and board analysis including initial dancing rolls (with experience or “reference” outliers) is very helpful to a greenhorn (beginner- intermediate player) like myself…thank you so much for your expertise guidance!

The problem with this storyboard theory of pass or take is that one can create a story for take or pass for any of those positions. Also, one can justify the right decision with a great story after one sees the XG analysis. What I didn't hear from ZZ is how much one weighs the stories we see in the position to give us the right decision. The last two slides give some of that, but perhaps I did not hear it enough in his explanation. I will need to review the video again to see how ZZ applies the last two slides in his analysis. In my opinion making good cube decisions comes from playing experience, working with reference positions, and incorporating different pro tips (i.e. PRAT, Woolsey's Law, ZZ's Take/Pass Story, etc.) to give you the proper feel. In the end a player just wants confidence in a decision that they can live with regardless of what XG says.

He does not explain things very well at all. he is basically saying "it's a take" without helping us break it down. No better than a series of reference positions in my opinion.
