I like that we now have Michihito "Are you ready to roll the dice" Kageyama and Dirk "Without further ado" Schiemann

For me, an absolute beginner, this is the best format I have seen on KZbin, especially as I play with the same board on Galaxy. Keep them coming, please, as they really improve my learning curve. Thanks so much, PS. I am a 71 year old beginner 😊😊

BTW, when bearing off in bggalaxy, you can double click the checker tray, and it'll auto bear off your roll.

Great video, very educational. When going through the XG analysis, it would be easier to follow if you used arrows to indicate the moves from the initial position.

will try to do it more. Have to get used to it since I never do it when I am studying.

28:28 i just want to say after rollout this is a Pass(+0.011). wow. outstanding play. can you share pls with this info in which kind of scores ++ analysis is bad thing and better to do a rollouts for better understanding? what about blitzes? seems my PC is not that hard to test all decisions at all scores and i really dont know on which scores and category positions i must focus more to check this XG misunderstandings...

I explain this bias XG++ has in detail in the Theory of Backgammon (page243). The raw take point has be very high so that you need lots of recube vig which holding games generally dont provide. Typical scores: 5away 4away, 4away 3away from the takers point of view.
