It was interesting to see you change the stripe on the road from yellow to green. I have never thought to paint an object a different color in anticipation of what the multiply layer would do to it. I have just always accepted what the multiply layer gave me. 🤯 lol Thanks so much! Love your design and color sensibilities. Thanks for sharing the process.

This is extremely helpful insight!! It's so nice to see the logic regarding how you compose value and color, especially since they're both so strong in this piece. Thank you for making this video! :)

I’ve been having the most difficult time to work on backgrounds this video helped me a lot and even though I still have a long way to go I will use this video as a reference for whenever I feel stuck again thank you for putting out this video I’d be 10 times more lost without the help of these videos✨✨

This is a weird thing to bring up but I've never seen anyone use layers on the left side of the screen and that's all I was focusing on but still, a scrumptious video!

Great video - thank you for sharing! I especially appreciate your point on the amount of time that goes into a piece like this, which can be easily forgotten when watching time lapse videos. :)

Very helpful! As someone who is going to college soon, I have a few questions: I would really love to work in visual development. I have more of an interest in games/animation b/c of the storytelling aspect, but I'm also interested in apps as well. Is it smarter to specialize in one of these fields rather than trying to do all? A lot of people I know tell me that, just b/c you major in something doesn't mean you can't get a job in another related field. I just want to know your opinion b/c I want to go to a college that requires me to pick one, when in reality I haven't decided what type of visdev is right for me.

catherine ngo Take a game design course, it’ll cover almost everything you’re interested in. And don’t pick a school with an art program, go to an actual art school, more funding and specialized classes.
