The "you look better without makeup" from me is literally a compliment. I dont care what anyone says. If i tell a girl she looks better without makeup all im saying is she has natural beauty and doesnt need any of them chemicals on her beautiful face... I understand how it can sound like an insult, but it is NOT.
@Cajun_Seasoning7 ай бұрын
It doesnt matter how you intended it to sound like it isn't an insult, it still is. What you feel about that backhanded compliment isn't the general perception and knowing that, and still telling women that, is knowingly letting them feel like they've been insulted regardless of what you think of it. Because everything James said about that haircut is exactly how it feels to receive it. You're telling them all the time, care and effort they gave to put into their appearance was a waste. And as a woman who's received this before and know other women who've received this before, collectively we all agree 'literally who asked?' every single time. The only time a compliment of this nature is fine, is if you're compliment a woman that isn't already wearing make up and you want to make her feel beautiful in her natural skin, not when someone already went through effort to look a certain way.
