Beautiful work Frank. Thanks for bringing us along. I'm learning on an old 555E and love watching you dig and explain how to go about different tasks. Much appreciated!

Dang Frank, someone should take pictures of your finished work and frame them with fancy frames to be hung in a museum as ‘fine arts’. I vote to hanging them in the Oklahoma State Capital Building Rotunda !!!

Keeping you entertained for a while Frank !! Some good size trenches there for you to dig. They seem to hold water well, never good for getting the right depth when it is there..... Enjoy the music accompaniment too 👍😎

Do they do fill work on these sites or is the ground there just naturally so perfect for a good ditch?
@Digginok3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a cut and fill, as for the dirt, it is what you make it. Bad operators blame the dirt, good operators do too! 😂
@Nudnik13 жыл бұрын
All rock here. Nice ground there. Does it turn to stick mud?
@Digginok3 жыл бұрын
This is a cut and fill, soft shale, so it sheds water pretty good. Gets a bit slick

Hey Frank, in a diesel and iron livestream awhile back you said that a backhoe digs better footings than a mini excavator if I recall correctly. I’m not asking sarcastically but I’m genuinely curious as to what about the backhoe in your opinion leads to this, is there anything different about it or is it operator preference?
@Digginok3 жыл бұрын
Have you seen a footing dug better by a mini? 😂
@ryangarrett37953 жыл бұрын
@@Digginok to be fair I’ve never seen anyone dig footers nearly as good as you but in my area it’s nearly impossible to get anything even close to what you do. I’m just curious as to whether it’s what you as the operator is comfortable and used to operating or if there’s something about the geometry or movement of the backhoe that gives it the ability to dig a cleaner trench
@Digginok3 жыл бұрын
Yes the backhoe has a lot of advantages over a mini ex. The length of ditch is greater, it can dig deeper, faster, from one setting, the bucket is bigger, the machine can self level the platform is more stable, less setup time. Not to mention how much morework the loader can do over a mini or even a mini skid combo. But what would I know? Lol
@Digginok3 жыл бұрын
To be fair the operator matters as well, I have tried my hand at mini ex digging, I wouldn’t say I hate them, but I’d rather shovel a footing.
@ryangarrett37953 жыл бұрын
@@Digginok thanks for answering, I know we give you a hard time on the Diesel and Iron livestream but I hope you don’t take any of that seriously as it’s just meant as fun and games. It’s interesting to see what the argument is from the other perspective.
