i think its nice. the snare does something that threw me off so instead of focusing on mixo soul on strings i focused on the sync between me and the vibe of that snare. in the end we vibed for sure

0:52 can someone tell me how that technique the bass used at the end is called in english? The last line in that bar where he does some kind of ghost notes.

Cristian Sosa, I'll toss a possibility in, might hit the target or might just ricochet....... "syncopation" came to mind as the notes/accents sound as if on the upbeats. Like a drummer might nail on the snare in a fill leading up to the next section. See how that works....... it's the perfect fill to these ears.

Mmmmmm........nah......... too much groove, too much pocket. This'll never get an award for "Best Avant-garde". Actually I was wondering if KZbin allows looping a section, letting you set the in and out points........ I want to figure out how play lead over the part where it goes to the C7 chord....... :) :) Goofin' on ya, love the track but it was about 10 minutes too short :) :)

The backing track is just the beat needed for guitar practice. I think it would be appropriate to use it as a means of practicing, and it would be helpful for practicing technique or scale. The length of the song was determined by referring to other backing tracks.

The bass player and the keyboardist are doing their job but the drummer keeps on butchering the timing. It goes from 4/4 to drum pills that throw off the count. I like when music ebbs and flows and I think this could if the drummer would stop trying to be so jazzy and just play a beach because unless everybody in the band is on the same page it doesn't work and the keyboard is the bass player are in straight time and the drummer is trying to do too much and taking the timing off the rails. If you want specifics go to the 205-minute mark and listen through about 2:50 for the best example of timing that gets butchered for about 45 seconds. The drummer has good hands, but his kick drum and snare totally miss the timing when he tries to get crazy with the fills. I'm sure that the guys playing are perfectly competent but it sounds to me like the drummer is trying to do way too much and when he tries jazzy fills it's completely throws off the timing and the groove. I like ebbs and flows with tempo changes when the whole band is working together but when one guy is clearly on a totally different page than his other two bandmates. Focus on getting the groove right and lock it in before you go overboard on the fills. Only when the drummer tries to embellish does the whole thing go off the rails in a big way. If this is a programed drum track then I am really confused.(700 minutes 7:47-8:00 (holy shit). Common guys, clean this up so people can jam. You've got the right idea and just a drum track where the guy or the machine is doing too much which is butchering the timing Trust me when I say that no studio, including the engineer and the representatives from the label would allow this drummer and they would bring in a studio giy. I really think you guys could be solid if you Captain the rhythm simple because it's not in a weird time signature. It's simply 4/4 and even if you're trying to do something more complicated the timing is still completely off and impossible to play melody or sing over this. I know you guys can polish this and make it better so you should do it. There are moments where the timing gets so far gone and it seems to be a repetitive thing that happens when there are specific embellishments so I'm really wondering if this is an example of guys who don't know how to use their equipment meaning pro tools or if it's really 3 piece band playing live. If that's the case, the drawer needs to learn to coordinate his timing before and after executing any fills. The hands sound great and you can keep time when you're not screwing around with flashy fills to embellish the music, so work on just keeping time and then figure out how to incorporate your pills in a way that doesn't throw off the time. Again I respect anybody who gets together and plays music with other people but if you want this to be a chance to act as useful to real musicians you're going to have to step up the production value and get this thing to be crisp and in the pocket. There's really no reason to ever play and constantly throw off the timing when you're playing with a base a keyboardist and a drummer. There's no loud guitar player for overzealous singer or anybody that could get in the way of the rhythm section okay if you don't believe me, use a click track and see where the click track ends up relative to this recording after about 20 seconds be so far off the count that you'll be shocked

This will sound nice with some minor pentatonic and blues phrases. Dominant 7 arpeggios perhaps 🤔
