I loved watching the relaxed first mountings and first steps.

I love the woman mounting the Gypsy with the other Horses around. Side Comment: (Sometimes we are not careful enough , when we have helmets on . It’s almost a false confidence that we can now just do anything. ) Anyway, her confidence and type of Horse she is mounting on , has made this a great experience for the Horses and Her . Love your cheerfulness and happy way you deliver your messages in the Videos ☺️💜Laura 🇺🇸🐴💜

In the USA we say ‘mounting’ a horse. ‘Backing’ a horse means backing it up here. I was wondering why there was no backing up of any horses going on here😉

We call that ‘backing up’, or ‘rein back’ if you’re talking about it as a dressage movement 🤷♀️ ‘backing ‘only really refers to the initial process of ‘teaching a horse to carry someone’; mounting is what’s normally said when you get on a horse. (I like linguistic stuff and seeing how people in different places use different phrases 😉)
