Not on Graces F though. Yes, you got Sakurai Takahiro, Hanazawa Kana, and Namikawa Daisuke but then you got Cheria's Japanese VA which sounds like crap compared to the English actress. And all of the other English actors are great, so Graces is better in English (And I'm saying it as someone who rarely play with English voices)
@lnsflare14 күн бұрын
@@DaakkuuYRS Honestly, Graces f is arguably the most ridiculously polished localization in the franchise, and the voice acting was pretty damn rock solid.

I've played on PS3 and loved it. Graces is such an innocent game that you need some things like that sometimes. And romance in the future arc is so wholesome, even if it takes long to get there. What I found wierd is the difficulty; Graces can be very easy game- if you play on CHAOS mode out of all things. People who played on Normal argued the game is hard. It is because of how the game rewards you with title EXP points; on Chaos you get about six times more Title EXP than Easy, which made the game for me pretty easy, in the wierdest way.
@firebirdstark3 күн бұрын
That…is a very interesting way to handle exp in a jrpg lmao

Been playing it since launch and almost done with it. Combat is awesome and never gets old. I also like the story. Its nothing special, but its simple, and wholesome which has been a nice change of pace.
@POKENAR2 күн бұрын
I think the story will be received better nowadays, when it came out dark = good, light = bad. having a simple, light hearted story was considered the same as a bad story, rather than a type of story.

I literally couldn’t find this in my 3 closest gamestops. They said if it wasn’t preordered, they were not going to “waste money” shipping it to a store since they didn’t think it would sell…not sure if that’s a problem that GameStop has or what, but it made me mad. Never played this one, so looking forward to getting it from a different distributor
@redstratus97Күн бұрын
It’s not just you. I had to jump through hoops to get mine at my local chain game store and they aren’t GameStop. I eventually did. But the experience tells me that quantities are limited with this physical release.

I played it on PS3 back in the day and really liked the combat but really disliked the story and characters. I loved Symphonia, Abyss, Berseria, Xilia, and Vesperia though. It's strange how I had such a different reaction to most other people seemingly, but agreeing on the other greats. It's such a good price point now though, I'll definitely buy it to give it another try. Also to encourage Bamco to keep going, this is what we want. Hoping for remasters on the JP exclusive games, especially Tales of Rebirth. I'd also love to see Tales of Legendia get voice acting through the entire game this time.
@DaakkuuYRS3 күн бұрын
@@ExireHG yeah Graces is a wierd case. Everyone agrees that the combat is good, but some dislike the story because it is very childish and innocent. I personally liked the story because sometimes I need thing like that. Very similar case to Fire Emblem Engage (Which I also enjoyed).

I tried this game as my intro to the tales series because of your recommendation and I was a bit disappointed. The story was very predictable, the main character was dense and always does the dumb decision, plus the villain was really lackluster. I'd give the story a 2 out of 5. The combat I enjoyed even if it was a simple style and I didn't get bored of it, Plus I enjoyed the title grind. I'd give the combat a 4 out of 5. After the experience it didn't make me want to try another tales series when I had almost a perfect experiences from Y's games or Final fantasy's or Dark cloud's. Maybe I just tried the wrong tales game or maybe this series isn't for me. I don't know if I would recommend this as the starting point for the tales series but this is just my opinion.

I played all main lines of all Tales series and the ones I can enjoy in story aspect are Abbys and Berseria. Just some tips if you play Berseria, try to crank up difficulty above normal. It's the only way the game tells you the depth of the combat and mashing button with Velvet won't solve anything.
