This gave me the confidence to take the back off and replace one of the handle's two retaining screws that had dropped out. Many thanks for posting.

Oh that's wonderful. Was the thread damaged or did the screw just work it's way loose?

No damage, just fell. I've replaced it and stuck a bit of duct tape over the head to try and hold it!

sounds like an interesting project because it would be possible to fill the old holes and perhaps still new ones and fit handle that matches your kitchen for example 🤔

You could always be a complete chav and hot glue it to the outside and drill a hole for the wire to go in!!! LOL! It would definitely work!

+william Taylor That's a good point! I have a commercial unit and that also only works within a few mm. I guess the coupling has to be so close.

Yep, I haven't played with them, as I have a gestapple phone, and inductive chargeing is probably banned unless it was their own proprietry format, so don't know for sure, but perhaps if there was a way to run the coils at a higher voltage with the logic still at 3.3 or 5v, it might extend the range of it. Hmmm, use an induction cooker! LOL!

I've one of these, but the volume knob got a knock and is now a bit loose. Now that I've seen the inside, I might have a go trying to fix it.

Is there a battery inside, as the time is not staying as I set it?

I believe it gets the time from the network or radio when you plug it in

@@backofficeshow It stays on as long as the radio is switched on at the electric socket. Switch off the electric, turn on again and the time has changed.
