Backpack Meal Review - Peak Refuel Meals | VENISON COUNTRY CASSEROLE - Review

This menu gets a BIG 8.8/10 score, which is pretty solid for a freeze dried meal!
- The venison tasted excellent. It was not overly seasoned.
- The rice was perfectly cooked. It had a little bite and was not mushy at all.
- The cream sauce is exactly that! It completed bringing the meat, rice and vegetables into a casserole.
Everything combines into a great, flavorful meal! Tons of home cooked flavors and tastes elevated the meal.
This menu is a gigantic thumbs up in my opinion!

I do have a question on this one: can you tell taste wise that it is venny? Any gammy taste to it?

Great question! I can’t believe I didn’t cover it in the video. It’s not gamey, and it’s not exactly like beef. I would say it taste like deer that has been fed grain and supplement feed all its life. It’s venison without the gamey taste… if that’s clear as mud! It’s also seasoned very well. I would suggest you buy one and give it a try, then if you like it purchasing more. I only say that because everyone tastebuds are a little different and some may not like it. I hope this helps.
