These videos are great! Would be cool to see a video where you two are planning to eat like this for a multi-day trip. How would you plan and pack stuff like this for a 3-5 day trip. I usually have to carry a bear can and am limited by the volume, which is always a challenge to figure out, even with the dehydrated meals. Thanks for doing these.

I have been camping & hiking for almost 40 yrs. I like that your chef thinks out normal pack foods. I agree that food and drink should never be bland nor over salted a lot of recipes are not as complicated as others would have us too believe. Your videos,are great videos they are simply informative. Keep up the great work.

This whole series with Chef Corso is great. Will definitely check out his site and channels. Would have liked to also see the cleanup process as well as that is often my biggest hurdle. Thanks.

Chef Corso is great! And yes, cleanup can be an obstacle for people. But it's not actually that hard. It would make a good followup video for how I do it. Thanks for the note!

You can even crack fresh eggs into a water bottle and freeze, they will be good to use your first breakfast on the trail.

If i remember correctly fresh eggs that are not pasteurized can be stored without refrigeration for a short trip

@@opie7afe fresh eggs store for literal months at room temperature. America is the only country which refrigerates it's eggs and none of us have a clue why you do it.
@Mel-qr5ob3 жыл бұрын
@@opie7afe they're basically in their own sterile packaging. To the rest of us it's like you guys are freaking out over nothing and refrigerating all your canned food.
@opie7afe3 жыл бұрын
@@Mel-qr5ob because eggs here are pasteurized, once that happens they must be kept in the fridge.

MSR Windburner Skillet. It's made specifically for that Windburner stove Chef Corso is using. You can buy others that are 8 inches like this one that work with many other stoves.

Eric, have to ask: are you and Dan Becker in a competition for silliest facial expression on a thumbnail? Nice video; nice food--I can dream, can't I?

Y'all terrify me with your attitude toward food storage. You SAY it's ok for x amount of days until you get food poisoning. Your perishables can be bad without smelling it yet. I don't even keep food in my refrigerator for more than 4 days. It goes in the freezer if it's going to take longer than that to eat. No way I would be packing out ham slices unless it's colder than 40 degrees out during the day. FTR I've had food poisoning. It's not worth the risk.
