I live about a half hour from killbear such a beautiful park the lighthouse point trail is also a beautiful trail Over the years killbear has gotten very popular I remember going camping there as a kid with my family was always a busy park but in this day and age its packed right to the nines now where before no matter when what month during season you went there was always site open up to camp without booking ahead of time. Now forget even trying to book anything unless you start booking in January and February becsuse by the spring it's already all booked up

Yes, its become the norm for many of the big parks in the south. Typically there are sites mid week though. Got a site last week in Algonquin LOTR for two nights.

Is that area ever calm when it comes to water? I know GB is big water, looking to spend some time kayaking it but want to try and time it where the water is more manageable for my kayak. Thanks!

Yea it can get calm, that's the worst I have seen it. Camped twice there and have done many day trips. Yea big water with a large fetch of any west/north west wind and its west the majority of time. Checkout the link below for wave height forcast, you can also just look ahead on 7 day weathernetwork or enviroment canada forecasts and take note on predicted wind strength and direction. www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/glcfs/

@@ActuallyAndrewFishing np, yea its interesting to watch during a big storm. Not only the wave height, but the water will be a few feet higher on one side of the lake.

Yea old gopro, does not help when waterproof case is on it. Good news is I got a steady cam coming in the mail. I see the newer waterproof gopros are coming down in price too. Thanks for watching!
