The lady that piloted the boat that you paid $30 Dollars U.S. for that part of the journey across the river , did her face ever light up, that was priceless. You made her day. things you need to try: meat on a stick with vegetable dip, sliced beef steak with lemon and fish sauce, cubed cut steak with Lemon and pepper dip, Beef salad, chicken curry with toasted bread, phnom penh noodles, sweet and sour soup, cambodian sausages, deep fried fish and mango papaya, basically anything stir-fried and of course everything goes well with white or sticky rice! places you need to see: Angkor wat (the 7th world wonder) the killing fields (A little taste of history) just be careful wondering around in certain area that are forbidden to access because their are still active explosive mines around! Much love brother!

@@BackpackerBen alright. Here's a list of places (and activities) you (and probably Mr. Bald too) can do when you guys r in Indonesia: 1. Jakarta - by next year it'll no longer be the capital. Many interesting man-made spots. Colonial-era buildings, street foods, shopping malls, skyscrapers, and others. I'll probably guide you while you're here. 2. Bandar Lampung, Lampung province, Sumatra (my very hometown) - Street foods, beaches, and urban settlements. I'll be your guide when u come here. 3. Bandung - coffee shops, colonial and traditional buildings, street foods, cultural heritages (Sundanese) 4. Yogyakarta - street foods and cultural heritages (Javanese) 5. Lake Toba, North Sumatra - a prehistoric crater lake. Great natural landscapes. 6. Palembang, South Sumatra - street foods, rivers, and some traditional heritage buildings 7. Bali (the entire island) - you know it. Beaches, street food, cultural heritages. Foreigner's favorite. Now I can't go to all the cities (I can only guide you in Bandar Lampung and Jakarta), but no worries. Indonesians are super friendly people. They'll guide you through it as well. Good luck, mate.
