Glad I finally get a chance to do a "mistakes were made" thumbnail
While it was frustrating we that we made such simple mistakes that spoiled our plans of camping at Lonomea in Waimea Canyon State Park I am thankful Angie and I got to spend a full day in such a beautiful and unique canyon and made it out safely. We definitely want to return and redeem ourselves by spending a couple nights at Lonomea, Kauai is such an amazing island it definitely deserves a return!
In the next video I will show where we ended up staying that night after hiking and how the rest of our time on the island of Kauai went. Make sure you are subscribed and have notifications on so you won't miss it! Thanks for watching!

That was a lot of work but thankful you made it back ok!!! Unique setting and terrain!

It sure was a lot of work, reminded us of our hike out of Black Canyon of the Gunnison, but with overnight packs. If we ever go back and camp at Lonomea I may want to spend 2 nights down there to be well rested for the hike up.
