What a beautifully unique pond and an equally gorgeous hike! The mushrooms have definitely taken on the autumnal colors! Thank you for a glimpse of this amazing blessing from God! Such a gift!✌️❤️

So happy you were rewarded with nice weather after persevering in the rain. Isn’t it so true that we have a greater appreciation for things when they don’t come so easy. The views were spectacular, you do a very nice job with the videos Frizzel and Jim is so patient and supportive in the filming process. At one point Jim looked like a Sherpa with that huge pack with things lashed to it.😊Keep Hiking!

Thank you so much for your vlogs! I followed your entire AT thru hike. What an amazing experience! Your BSP videos are some of my favorite. I live an hour away from either entrance and try to get in there whenever I can. I remember a video you did at the end of your thru hike about the loss you felt. The loss of not being connected to the people and the trail anymore. I go through this same feeling of loss every year when my Baxter season ends. It is a magical place that I am spiritually connected to, and I can see that you feel the same way❤ I can't wait to tell my kids about this video. They both worked for Friends of Baxter this summer and did a lot of bog bridging on Pogy Notch trail🙂 Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us. May God bless each and every one them🙏

Oh wow! Thank you so very much and thank your kids for me!! We are members of Friends of Baxter because of our profound love of this incredible place. You're right, I do feel a deep spiritual connection to this place as well. It's almost indescribable...I'm challenged to articulate it properly . I also noticed all the new bog bridges on Pogy Notch trail! BRAVO!!! Those are such an essential part of wet and boggy trail sections - first to protect the trail environment and it certainly makes for happy campers when they can keep their feet from sining into mud! Question for you....do you ever trek into the park in winter? That's something I've wanted to do for years....just need to get some ross country skis!! I appreciate your support - God Bless you!

Hi Frizzle! I've tried to reply to your reply twice, but to no avail🤦‍♀️ I'm just going to try adding another comment instead. First of all, thank you guys so much for donating to Friends of Baxter. My daughter has worked for them for 4 or 5 summers now and has learned so much about BSP. She's actually on the cover of the latest Friends of Baxter newsletter if you have it. That was our wildest day in the park to date. We were literally hiking with the fishes! I have yet to camp at BSP in the winter, but it's on my bucket list. Would love to snowshoe to Roaring Brook, then continue on to Chimney Pond the next day. Again, thank you for your videos. Russell and South Branch Ponds are two over my favorite magnificent obsessions in the park. You have a gift for capturing their beauty and peace❤

WOW!! Is that her standing in the high water in front of the most amazing kiosk I will ever pass by in BSP!?!?!? That's so awesome!! Thank you for coming along with me on this experience.....BSP holds such a special place in my heart...always has, always will. Again, please thank your daughter for me....it's so valuable for her generation to fall in love with places like BSP to preserve it for those in the future.

Great leanto site. It was nice to see a part of BSP that I hadn’t been to. As far as Howe Brook trail goes, I totally agree that the out and back is well worth it. Glad to be along for the journey.

My husband and I hiked out there from Roaring Brook when our son was around 10. We only stayed one night which was a mistake. It is to far to hike for one night. So beautiful though and we saw moose. I hope you did too.

I would have to agree with you. It's far enough that it makes more sense to stay more than one night and there's lots to explore out there too!

The ponds look so peaceful. Are trout in the ponds, and is fishing allowed ?

I'm not sure what's in the ponds but you can fish-I believe you need to get a fishing license in Maine to do that.
