Backpacking Off Road - Grande Anello dei Sibillini #1 - da Visso a Fiastra

Uno dei trekking di lunga percorrenza più interessante da fare sulla catena appenninica. In questo primo video dedicato al GAS: la prima tappa (personalizzata) che comprende grossomodo le prime due tappe ufficiali del percorso. Forse la meno spettacolare dal punto di vista panoramico ma la montagna regala sempre sorprese inaspettate, tanto per dirne una...dover arrampicarsi tra rovi e scarpate per aggirare un branco di maremmani ed il loro gregge.
This is the first stage of a long-distance hike that cross the whole mountain chain of Sibillini in central Italy. It is called Grande Anello dei Sibillini. It is long 124 Km divided into 9 stages with more then 5.000 m of total positive height difference. Take your shoes on and come walking with us.

Looks like you had a great time! When exactly did you hike the trail?

It was last week of April 2023, I would say it's a good time to make it but get prepared to some rain and wind. Weather is quite impredictible that season in Italy. I also did it in August once, no rain but high temperatures (around 30° C) between 12 and 3 pm

@@maximevanleeuwen as I said that's a quite unpredictable saison. Probably you'll get rain at some point so be ready for that...and nighttime could be still quite cold. If you sleep in hostels or refuges that's not a big problem, if you are with a tend be sure to be well equipped

@@maximevanleeuwen I don't think you will experience below 0° C but maybe around 6-7° C can happen. So with a good sleeping bag and a tend should be ok
