I'm also doing the MedSailors Corfu route solo! Mine leaves on the 27th August, I booked it in 2020 based on your video but being from Australia it's been on hold until this year! Great packing video! It was really interesting to see you pack for such a wide range of activities. You did really well keeping it all under 10 kg! I did have a couple of suggestions which are too late for this trip, but might be useful for future trips. One would be to take along a lightweight white or light coloured long sleeve button-up shirt in either cotton, linen, or a moisture wicking tech fabric. This can protect your arms from branches and brambles and such, as well as provide sun protection when doing farm work. It could also be undone and worn as a lightweight jacket or coverup in the mornings or evenings when there’s a bit of a chill. My other recommendation is to cut down the shampoo and conditioner bars and pack the smaller pieces in a smaller case. A Matador Flatpak Soap bar case would be ideal. These things are a bit pricey but they’re like magic. You put in a wet bar of soap and it dries out without affecting anything around it. It sounds like a really fun trip. I’m looking forward to seeing your follow up video when you get back, what worked and what didn’t.

I have the belt/bum bag you showed at 13:00 and I love it! I mostly use it when going out ect and don't want to bring a bulky bum bag and can nicely fit my phone + keys + some money and cards and its really discreet. One thing I didn't realise is that the little white strip glows in photos with flash on so I turn it the other way round for flash photos 😂

Loving my Birkenstock Arizona EVA sandals. They take up the smallest amount of space in the bag when unbuckled. Wrapped individually in shower caps, they are easy to slip into random spots in the bag. The EVA Birks weigh almost nothing, wipe dry and can be adjusted to wear with cozy socks for slippers or recovery shoes in the hostel.

If you’re coming to Greece from Albania, you should stop in the Zagori region and see Vikos national park. It’s a beautiful area in northern Greece made of all stone villages with fantastic hiking trails connecting them. It’s something not many tourists get to see in Greece, since they typically head right to the islands.

Contact lenses tip: I use fortnightly lenses. Then you need to travel with way less of a stock than daily’s, plus just a small lense case and a small bottle of solution. Super convenient and easier than daily lenses

'Kathmandu' (Aus brand) make great rolling bags that convert into packs. They wheel really well and have proper pack straps that unzip on the back on the bag. I have the 70L version that has been around the world and still looks new. No issues on sand or cobblestones. They aren't cheap but are on sale pretty often.

Re: contacts- at least here in the US, contacts are considered a medical necessity and don’t go against the liquids rule. I’ve always packed my contacts in my main bag and have never had an issue with security. I’ve backpacked many times in Europe and have never had an issue either with them not being in my liquids bag. I don’t wear dailies (I change mine every 2 weeks) so I don’t have as many to bring, but I definitely have had to still take many pairs during long trips!

Largest event of the world start in Europe in 3 weeks; Nijmegen. And I'm going to Slovenia after that. > Bovec in Slovenia is so you.. You can, in that absolutely beautiful place, raften, largest zipline of europe (4 KM) and paragliden and canyoning and canyon and kayak and many many more. ;P My first travel after 19 years extremely ill (and 9 IC hospitalizations). can't wait!! ^^ But seriously, Nijmegen and Bovec are must be places, Bovec is something I really see you doing ^^

I had that situation happen a few times on trips and I found that I could just go to a shop when I arrive wherever and buy sunscreen at the destination. Since I stayed in a hostel usually I'd leave the remaining bottle behind and rommies were grateful!

Currently an armchair traveler question after watching a few packing videos I’m confused by the weight max on bags because usually the packers will say if it’s too heavy I’ll put it in my other bag . So they just weigh one of your bags? Why can’t it all go in one? Thanks for the insight and sharing your adventures

It depends on the country and airline. Some airlines let you take a carry-on and a hand luggage bag, some only let you take one of the two. Again depending on the airline, sometimes both of the bags have to go under one weight limit, but others have a separate limit for each bag, so you could pack more stuff.
