Thank you guys, that was an interesting video, thank you for sharing. I only found the video because I had put in a "Studholme" search, but it was the South Island one, never mind I still enjoyed it. Keep up the good work and thanks again from this 70Yr old hunter.

great video guys ive never hunted the Kawekas yet hope to some time some really nice country in there ..yes its sad that chris isnt flying the area anymore loved flying with him cheers .

Don’t feel bad Glenn, I haven’t seen many fat deer in kawekas, and usually see a good amount of deer, when we would fly in with Chris we would shoot basically anything we saw. Can’t say we didn’t go and recover deer, but we definitely located and left them on the hill because they were in such bad condition. I’m definitely going to do more shooting and walking away in the future because you are right, DOC will just get in there with green rain. I see a lot on KZbin of guys hunting way in the middle of nowhere shooting big stags and saying they have all the boned out meat in there packs, sorry, but I call bullshit on those guys, it’s just not realistic. Good on you for being honest about it. I miss flying in with Chris, need to get my boots on and do it the hard way like you 2!

Another great Vid team, quick question - how safe are the car parks or are the thieving scum everywhere - looking at Makahu Road and the Lakes for future planning.
