Hey this is a question for Riley is boost surge just not a problem? I've read a lot saying it can cause premature failure but maybe that's just older turbos. I'm in love with that noise but worried about my 80s turbo

not sure what you mean? if you mean compressor surge, it is not "good" for the turbo, but it's not that bad.

Are you talking about boost surge when in wot? If so that's the type of compressor surge that kills engines Fast too, if so it's not the same as compressor Surge from running no blow off valve causing the turbine to cut the air causing the flutter sound that kills turbos.
