I went out exploring some local bush-roads and came across a lot of wild life on my journey. Instagram / kwmjam_adventures #outdoors #exploring #wildlife

You guys in Canada are so lucky to have so much undisturbed nature making up the majority of your country, let alone in the most populated province! I'm kind of shocked it's so undeveloped, since the distance from the US border to northern Ontario isn't too large by US standards.

It's a large place. Ontario alone would take almost 24 hours to drive from the eastern most point to the western most point. And the majority of the population of the province is all in the the south. But it's not lost on me how lucky I am to have this wilderness so close.

@@KwmjamAdventuresthe portion of the Trans Canada that seems the longest is Sault Ste. Marie to Kenora... it's a beautiful drive though.

A good fyi for travellers; if you are going to pass through an area of mostly forested, little population areas, fuel up. Got caught in northwestern Ontario late at night to a detour off the main road; no idea how far out of the way. This was around 2 a.m. Fortunately, a small store and gas station heard about it and opened his business. I hope he made a ton of cash during that time! Smart businessman!

I saw it second!!! Loved the porky climbing the tree. Looked like he was going to fall over! And the lynx...lucky to see that.

Hey, folk! Hope you're well and haven't had any bad animal encounters. If I we're y'all I'd grab a pan of likely looking gravels and supplement your travel with gold.

Good luck finding placer gold in Ontario. It's all underground. There's a few spots in British Columbia where you can placer mine. I found about 1/4 ounce in the summer of 1980 in the Similkameen River south of Princeton.
