I love Backrooms content where the "chase" does not happen, but the imagination is worrying about it. Minimalistic horror is the future.
@kudjo242 жыл бұрын
One of the creepiest suspense things Prism does that Kane also does is not just walking up to a single hall way entrance like at 0:30, but using parallax to slightly move the camera and reveal from viewers perspective just how unending the hallway behind the door is, 0:35. It's the oh shit moment of a tiny suspense when you realize a monster isn't behind the entrance, but more rooms full of more rooms of monsters.

Minimalistic horror was always "the future" , at least have been so for two decades. The masses are just not so easy to make aware of, and half of the people who become aware, think it's something completely new lol But I agree, less is more, tension is the "best" horror, and anticipation and ambience is _everything._ Watch IGP's recent Siren: Revived or something, where he gets more scared by deer than the actual entity lol.

And not a single obligatory random Monster to be seen or heard, impressive. I am sick of Backrooms videos being full of Monsters, it's amazing anyone allegedly survives at all with so many Monsters running around at 100mph. The Backrooms are more interesting when they are devoid of life and with the rare inexplicable object/s. Monsters are boring, but inexplicable objects and bizarre geography makes you ask questions, and the mystery is part of the fascination. Kudos.

i really like the idea of the Backrooms being more of a 3d map rather than a realistic looking place, good job with this edit: the reason i say this is due to it having noclipping, entities, glitched objects, and more, im saying this due to people in the replies telling me "its supposed to be realistic" edit 2: There is someone claiming to be "Stan Lee" in the reply section, they aren't actually him, and to that person, an opinion is only used to show something you like, it isn't stating fact from fiction, its only showing that its something you like or don't like. Yes, I do know that opinions can be controversial, yet this one is only saying that I like this video showcasing their ability to edit and make a map.

Wise move: "not interacting with the environment." In this footage we see someone successfully resisting the urge to pick up items that might be useful. The reason this is wise is that none of it is really healthy to people trying to move them. Carpet is ok, but the "carpet" might not be from the Backrooms itself, but is a reflection of mold, distorted to a size that poses no danger to our lungs. It's my theory that "interacting with the environment" (including entities) is what sucks a person deeper into the Backrooms and (more importantly) brings the camera and footage deeper in rather than spitting it back out for us to recover and see. This problem is quite complicated and has to do with quantum computing, Earth's gravity well, and phospohlipid bilayers. You wouldn't understand. Suffice it to say: don't pick stuff up in the Backrooms. You might twist even further, into the 4th dimension, and "fall" away like a circle pushed out of a paper of a 2 dimensional world.
@AlienonEarthC-1372 жыл бұрын
care explaining why tons of people, “wouldn’t understand” ?
@arthurjeremypearson2 жыл бұрын
@@AlienonEarthC-137 Because I barely understand it myself, to be honest. Real world quantum computers act differently when there is a thinking human mind in the same room as it, observing the computer. That's weird. But it ties into the Backrooms because here the both of us are observing footage from the Backrooms. In a way, we're collapsing a quantum state. A quantum state that happened in the past, for sure, but Einstein said "People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." "Our observation of the backrooms" - in a way - is part of what makes them real. Call it an if-then condition of the computer that's running the simulation we call "reality." : If the Backrooms are observed at any point in time and space, then they existed. However, that is a boostrap paradox - if they didn't exist, how were they observed in the first place so that we could observe them and bring them into existence? *sigh* I knew it. I lost you, didn't I? Well, that's why most people wouldn't understand it. I hardly understand it myself, to be frank.
