When i was like 5 or 6 i remember having a nightmare of my dad taking me to a playzone and i was just having normal fun until the area started separating itself from the adult waiting zone and as i looked down it was an endless abyss. I had to make my way down multiple levels and avoid traps and some of the other kids turned into monsters so i had to find different ways to avoid or escape them, after reaching the bottom with the rest of the survivors we made it to a door like something from super mario 64 and it had different shapes on it. As it opened with nowhere else to go we went through and was in somewhere i can only describe as a main hub area with different shapes on each door with equally as dangerous trials behind each one like lava zone and massive spike pits with only a narrow beam to walk on and at the end we would meet a living shape that's would chase us out of each area after completing it. Once we did each one only 5 of us including me made it out and where able to hug their parents, after that i woke up but yeah at the time it was scary but now it's just something weird that always comes back to me.

Ive had a recurring nightmare similar to this. It would start out normal. I'd go into the playzone, hearing others laughing and having fun. At some point it went quiet. Everything became dilapitated and abandoned looking. And I couldnt find my way out. It was pretty scary.
