yep. very underrated backrooms KZbinr. Captured the pure energy of oddly nostalgic elements but turned it up to 11 with that new distorted remix of that music when it got dark. also never heard a vocalized version of the regular one either. Even this level is probably the nearest I've seen to the actual source material.

Even an Dreams, when they malfunction, they have an effect similar to stranger things, an smoke gas particle style effect but definitely not glitches if you are not in virtual reality inside the dream. All the games use glitches to describe the nature of backrooms. Escape the Backrooms and Backrooms escape together, and many other games and found footage use the glitches when Backrooms malfunctions

They happen only withing an Digital Computer Generated Realms, and Backrooms have Glitches and Skyboxes that sometimes rotate. + Ability to fall out of Bounds and Instead of Seeing Blackness, You see inside that rooms where you fell from, That is an Nature of Maps, you don't see the Out of Bounds inside the Maps, But you see into the Map from Out of Bounds, + they also love to regenerate and change their looks. That is an Backrooms. When someone describes this place, They might not know they are in computer generated environment, But they feel that it is not an Natural Reality but Very artificial. In the Matrix people felt it too that they world felt artificial, they just did not know type of the world but they did not cared anyways. + backrooms have characteristics of Games, just like Jumanji, You need to complete different tasks in order to be send out to natural reality and never go to the backrooms again

Damn. I was so enthralled by Al Bowlly’s singing that I didn’t realize the protagonist should’ve just ran off, lmao. I would definitely die real quick in this level, especially considering my current mental state, lol. I’ve actually barely witnessed a personification of the smilers through video. I love how terrifying the situation of the night truly is with how the music stopped playing. I also love how you’ve managed to give each smiler different personalities like one of the final ones spinning around while looking at the protag before the closest one decides to eat them. Absolute cinema. Edit: I didn’t realize there was a giant wooden mannequin guy just vibing on the road at the bottom of the hill at the end, LOL.
