Totally agree! It holds true to the original idea of the rooms, a hostile alien environment that is familiar somehow. No entities making the tension larger without reason, just the environment

I’m not against backrooms entities, but the whole “being chased by entities” idea is making the backrooms go stale. I prefer suspense. The haunting feeling of not knowing if there’s something around the corner ahead or behind. The maddening liminal space and infinite nothingness of the yellow walls and buzzing lights. Far more terrifying than a monster.

What I like about this is that it feels pretty subtle with the scares and the entities. I also like how the character movements actually feel like they have weight to it - the camera swaying, the footstep sounds. I hope the two can meet up again. Edit: Also stop saying it's "INSPIRED". This is instead very heavily BASED, if not copying, upon his work - straight up using areas and concepts made by Kane.

Every second of it -all the way down to the camera movement/angles, and the sound of the breathing paired with the natural dialogue - felt like I was on the beam with them. I felt that genuine anxiety just from watching this on a tiny screen, and if that doesn't clearly signify some GOOD immersion, then I don't know what does. I'll definitely be studying this example of tension and immersion for future projects of mine. It is truly a privilege to be able to watch such good quality without spending a penny. This, and Kane Pixel are my two favorite Backrooms content creators. In both cases it is because of a special attention to detail, as well as supreme world building. A lot of people just make random videos and insert whatever free character model they could find as en entity and the content is just repetitive. Strange, sure, but not compelling. This though. It would make quite a lot of sense if the Backrooms started to fill with some sort of mould due to some parts of the facility being exposed to damp, cold, air, due to those doorways leading to the "outside" world. Although usually things are static within the Backrooms it'd make sense if there was some sort of mould or virus infecting those within, it would explain the coughing, it would explain the strange smog that surrounds the lower levels of the facility, it would explain the "monsters" or hallucinations. The only hole poked in this theory of mine is that the researchers are wearing hazmat suits, but it still wouldn't be too surprising if these mould spores could penetrate their minds; a good workaround for the fact that they're wearing hazmat suits is the fact that the researchers usually only start to cough and hallucinate after falling great distances (possibly tearing or damaging their hazmat gear) Thank you, A-Sync Research, for the amazing work you've done, not just because of your amazing animations, but for the betterment of horror-KZbin as a whole.

I know it may sound like a small difference but I honestly hope it is at least referred to as mould as opposed to fungus; mould just makes so much more sense as a concept as opposed to anything fungal. I feel like the slight detail of it being mould not only just makes more sense contextually, but it'd also add to the creepy atmosphere (and also reference the original backroom image) by imagining the smell of the damp, greyish-yellow, mould-infested, carpet/flooring.

Great job! but if i may make a few suggestions? Keep in mind the person is holding the camera, their eyes are not the camera, and they are not looking through the camera. It takes you out of immersion when you act like the camera is what you looking through. Also, try to subvert expectations, when we see a hole in the floor, every time in a backrooms video, we fall through it. It may be more interesting go continue past the falling floors. One more thing, the narrative dialogue is good, but keep in mind while the found person may be a young teenager, the employees are likely older adults that already have experience and procedures for these situations. For example, when the hazmat suit acts so unsure about what to do, and the teenager says "we have to go this way" i would assume normal protocol would actually be to make their way back to a reporting station to update control on what has happened so they can create a plan. If that is not doable, I'm sure the protocol is normally to stay as close to the original location as possible. These are people that were probably harshly trained and had a rigorous interview process for this job and are not likely to panic. I hope this helps you create even better and more immersive stories! I wish you the best!
@flynnryan2 жыл бұрын
I think it was the video preceding this in the timeline that had them following the tape on the floor back to the entrance only to come to a massive 8-way intersection with tape going off in all directions. Sometimes protocol fails.
@olidoran24852 жыл бұрын
Seeing as the cameras in the 80's didn't have screens and you looked through a lens, it is 100% accurate that it would be what the eye sees. And due to that, it makes it believable you could fall by mistepping.

Assuming they are documenting their findings in the backrooms it’s very plausible that they look at everything as if through their eyes. Especially in a situation where you’re alone, it’s best to document everything as best you can so someone else can potentially find and use your video

Exactly, specially given that there was smoke inside, I'd much rather take my chances in the woods (at least should be able to find food/water there). @clan7412 жыл бұрын
@@freedomisslavery6840 technically there is no “outside” in the backrooms. That forest area was just another part of the backrooms. The Backrooms is basically a procedurally generated copy of our world stretched over infinity, you could end up in deserts or forests or a simple pool room that go on for trillions of miles, and why the architecture have zero rhyme or reason to it.
