@@jj4m3z that’s the thing though. people that go there (normally, not from a main characters perspective) aren’t scared of the monsters most of the time; they’re scared of the unknown. they’re teleported suddenly to these empty hallways with hardly any reason why, with no permanent sources of food or water. It’s six million square miles; you have to move a LOT to get to another level. With how rare every occurrence of something is, I’d be willing to die to an entity because I would have been there for so long (if i didn’t die to starvation) that I’d most likely be broken mentally and physically beyond repair. Sure, some people will find the exit to there easily, and the entities may be common; but in retrospect, with the vastness of Level 0, that’s RARE. isolation is what drives people insane, too, as there’s hardly anybody in this near infinite expanse of halls; and you have no prior knowledge of this place most of the time. you’re left to wonder what to do or why this is happening, or when something will happen, as the near silence for some people there are what make them paranoid. that’s my take on it.
