I was worried when I saw that real people’s faces were going to be shown in this part. Thought we might lose some of the mystique or something. I was wrong. To see some of the faces behind this study only added to something that was already stupendous. Thanks for this great series!

@Alex Moreno i believe it’s because the hazmats visit unknown sections, while they don’t need to where them when they’re not exploring.

I disagree. This is probably my least favorite video in the series. The portion up to 4:11 was rather different stylistically from the usual in this series and I liked it less. I'm also very confused when they do and don't have to wear hazmat suits in the backrooms. Why is the dude seeing the 4 hazmat people enter not also wearing a hazmat? Same with the construction workers.

@bravourways same thought, i thought it was unnecessary to the whole thing that he has already built, the whole 90s, VHS, bad quality vibes were simply matching perfectly with the whole universe, the idea of adding that part might seem understandable but it really stood off and kinda mismatched with the entirety of his creation
bravourways 16 күн бұрын
See, I had the opposite reaction. I felt like the modern sections didn't bring anything to the table. It didn't work well with the rest (and sorry to say but the acting wasn't always convincing)

The best part about Kane is that you never know what’s gonna come next. You can have millions of ideas on what’s next but they never seem to be right. Kanes definitely one of the best story builders out there. Along with his multitude of other things he does. Great work.

It's frightening that this is the first time they've seen an unidentified ENTITY in BackRooms, and still survive. The faces of scientists who watched the recording convey emotions of fear and surprise. Kane, if you see this, then know that you are setting an example for many Teenagers that it is not too early to create great Creativity.

I took a few filmmaking classes, back in the day. One of the key things I remember the teacher saying: "Hire actual actors, don't use friends that are all your own age, especially when the part clearly calls for an adult in the role". It makes a huge difference.

From what I understand of this video, scientists and analysts find the lost footage after some exploration, and watch the footage. The main character is sending a message to the lead of ASYNC to help them understand that something is lurking in the darkness. The episode ends with ASYNC's realization that they messed up real bad and installs a second hydraulic threshold to prevent the creatures from entering the frontrooms.

@Diego Salazar yeah, but I feel it's a way to get to our 'modern' time, which will open a window to some better/other technology or cinema effects, just to give room for other effects. Not ofcourse that it really needs that (now), but it's probably being done to give more options on development for this series. Who knows what the future will bring !

I need to see more from you, its all just stellar. You are singlehandedly carrying the entire backrooms community on your back right now. Im hooked and cannot get unstuck. Thank you Kane! Came to say the same thing. To do something of this scope at any age would be insanely impressive, but being young Kane has a bright future ahead. Natural storyteller, great use of tension and reaction, and effects that literally fool you into looking real, yeah, Kane you deserve a Netflix series at the least, though honestly a mid-budget Hollywood film is much more deserved. Stay the course, you've got big things ahead if this is your start.

@Lorenzow TV I got to say it really depends on the person. When I was 16, I was an entirely different person from when I turned 18. I was (and still am) immensely immature, without having realized my goal in life or having any real idea on how things worked. I hated when people treated me as if I was a fully capable adult because I wasn’t, I still wasn’t ready. Of course, I didn’t like to be treated like I was extremely young and incapable of complex thought either. I just wanted to be treated like a teenager, at my level of development without holding me back or expecting too much from me at the time. Unfortunately I’m still getting the same treatment now, but I’ve matured quite a bit within those couple of years. A lot can change for 16 year olds growing into adults, they aren’t necessarily acting like their adult self yet, and that’s okay.

Whoaaaa. This combo of CG and real people is so seamless. Good job, really fleshes out Async behind the scenes. Also, this is the first video where ASync has fully become aware of the creature. I assume the beginning shows Marvin & gang returning from the encounter- Looks like they tried to seal off the monster with that new wall which then became a closing gate thing.

Hey Kane, I know you probably will never see this but I wanted to take the time to write a comment and say how much I appreciate this series, There are very few concepts brung to life that scare me more than this one. Beginning to present the way this world has been built and played on has been phenomenal, It's almost one of those things I wish were actually real (without the whole death and monster thing) and I'm really happy with it so far. It's bringing me more into the horror genre as a whole and specifically the way psychological horror is worked and I only have you to thank for that. Thank you.

@crab master Keep in mind, though, that other makers of Backrooms content have relied way too much on the monsters and lore with the different Backrooms levels and the human race somehow knowing about every entity that exists there. In my opinion, Kane’s use of the creatures is perfect because it gives the suspense of being trapped inside an endless series of office rooms with no company but a strange and terrifying creature that seeks to kill you.

Kane you are still the de facto creator of backrooms lore. There are others out there trying real hard to capture the essence of the backrooms, while others are simply making a mockery of it. But they all lack that certain je ne sais quoi… it’s a certain uncertain quality. More than subtlety. It seems to be a presence of mind. An authenticity. A real feel for what is creepy. Approaches camp, but never really sells out. Just keeps the creep factor high as much with what it leaves unrevealed than it reveals. Shall I continue it have you started getting sick yet? In short, great job dude you trash the pretenders. And keep it up. We are all relying upon you now to keep the integrity of the backrooms intact, at least until Hollywood gets a hold it it and truly destroys whatever integrity it once had.

I honestly really love how even without dialog you can tell just how spooked even the most hardened scientists are here. These guys aren't working for generic evil corporate/government entity (well given my political stances all are inherently but that's besides the point) they are just people who either accidentally or on purpose discovered something other worldly and were just researching and wanting to figure this place out. But now that they fully realize that there is genuinely something else here that is an active danger they are shitting themselves for sure. Especially given that they had a wide door policy to this dimension for quite a while even though that thing could have attacked their expedition teams or worse breached into our world at any time. The ending of this felt very somber and the way they closed everything up and left makes me think after the last incident they've chosen to just bury everything and close it all up.

This is probably one of the most important parts of the series. In motion detected they didn't know for sure what anything was, so for all they know it could just be a bug in the software, or something, but having Marvin come out alive *with the camera* proves for sure that something is up. Also, the animations are *CRAZY* . The look of horror at 2:58 is on point. That would be how i would probably react.

Umm... Sorry, but the scenes in front of the TV (which is CGI, look at the background) NOT computer graphics. They're live actors. The video can be divided into 3 parts: The squad returns from Backrooms, people watch TV with a recording and a black guy walks down the corridor and part of where in Backrooms they build a Walls. So, the central part of the video is real shooting, except, again, TV.

So I have a theory about this. so after they found out that there is creatures in the backrooms they locked it up and closed the project sealing it off completely. in the video informational video the employee gets lost into the backrooms and the weird screen glitch that happens is that he time travels in the future wandering around to see the broken down security bases and storage units. the informational video was made February the 26th 1990 while the report was made on April 6th 1990. The explorer could have gotten sent 1 month and 11 days or more in the future explaining the alarm and the ruins. explaining that the backrooms can not only control the reality and mind of the explorer but the time that has been set. the backrooms is more dangerous than you think. Its not a glitch it is a trap. Kane even said that the backrooms changes every advance and style humanity has made keeping on the trend and only to draw explorers deeper into the backrooms making me believe that the backrooms is alive and conscious what it is doing.

I liked the genuine look of concern on the faces of the researches as they see the creature on the footage, that was a genuine human reaction to something that makes no sense whatsoever. I also liked how the scientists actually took the threat of the monster seriously, as opposed to just covering it up. Also, the real actors mixed with the CGI blends so seamlessly, like, I’m still surprised that this was made by a 16 year old! You have taken the oversaturated and fattened up backrooms and turned it into what it was always supposed to be, psychological horror. Well done
