Marking the track an using a chop saw would be 1000% better. Love Jim’s videos. He made my teenage years great. It’s sad to hear of his passing.

Do it right the first time. A little "extra" work at the start saves a lot of repairs later on.

Jim was a great presenter with a common sense approach. Gone too soon.

Do you have a video on how to wire this up so that the wires do not get in the way of the openings?

Question: how do you power the tracks where they will break?
@OGRYouTube Жыл бұрын
Run separate power feeds to the bridge rails. Use stranded wires for the flexibility you need as they move.

Also, be sure to over complicate the wires by adding a spring and pulley system so they don’t get pinched in the hinged part.

To bad there isn't a way to better silence Lionel Fastrack due to its road bed hollow cavity.

question If someone is at this level of construction skill then why do you treat that person the way you do Not good in my book. These are not good teaching skills. I see it more as an entertainment rather than teaching moment. My opinion. RC

A bit overly complicated

Maybe. But that door worked *perfectly* for many years until the layout was dismantled after Jim passed away.
