I think this is a cool video, I do think there’s something to be said for the confirm speed of reverse bhs over Lamina. Backstep and bhs/quickstep blend their recovery with the begining of the grab and functionally confirm faster which will confirn more often on more attacks and more latencies. The Lamina being able to move directly backwards for a grab is definitely cool and novel, what a dope idea, and the sewer invasion was very cool

Yes one thing I did not mention is that the grab takes a bit longer for sure. For some weapons like ultras it doesn't matter, but for a lot of weapon class the opponent needs to either be out of Stam, stay in place because he is dumb, or do another attack. I think it's fair honestly

Heya! Loved your Laminar vid! I had a question about getting the backstab both with Laminar AoW and with the reverse BHS - do I have to delay the r1 input until the animation of the BHS/Laminar completes? Similarly, are you making an angle adjustment right after the backstep but before the r1 input?

Hey, thank you first of all ^^. To respond to youre question, I generally queue the r1 while i quickstep or bloodhound step or do the ol aow. The objective is to come out of the animation with the backstab without any delay. I also dont redirect the attack because the whole point of those 3 backstab is that you come out of the s move while facing the back of the oponent.
