Who do you think won in this Trombone v. Violin Battle? The handsome violinist or the other guy?
Trombone player James Morrison (artistic Director of the QLD music Festival) and Violin player Shenzo Gregorio (Music Director on 'Heart of an Open Country’) in an impromptu duelling session backstage at the after party.
James Morrison is such a fun and funny guy to perform with. This is another example of how the backstage after party with musicians can be the best part of the concert.

Felt like we were in the room with you. Extremely Entertaining off the cuff. Exudes talent and passion. Wonderful for children especially to be exposed to the fun side of musicians of your standing. More approachable raises the profile of these instruments and musicianship overall. The benefits of music are enormous to both the performer and listener. Thank you 💛

Both of these were amazing, but as a trombone player I'm biased towards James, hah!

I feel as if James could use mayonaise as a traditional instrument here. Just a bass edition to his glass of water..

Felt like this was one of the rare instances. We saw a professional instrument player using an ABS plastic instrument

James Morrison's blue trombone looks cool. Playing a trombone mouthpiece in a glass of water was pretty cool. But definitely the handsome violinist won the day! The backstage after party is always better than the concert in my experience as everyone has that great energy from performing and when musicians play for eachother and battle / try and show off to each other is just magic. Wish i was there - thanks for sharing access Shenzo.
