I started watching this having no idea you were at the Mount Baker Theatre, and then all of a sudden I was like no way is this girl in Bellingham!! I had a performance there years ago, so it was so cool to see it from a dancers perspective again!

Why the ballerinas aren't in pointe shoes?!
@AlenaMcKenzie5 жыл бұрын
the footage is from dress rehearsal :) since we do the show back to back to the rehearsal we save our shoes and our toes for the performance!

Why are some me girls wearing pointe shoes and others aren’t?
@oxitocyn5 жыл бұрын
I believe it was a dress rehearsal just before the show so some of them probably prefer to not go full out and save their pointe shoes for the actual show

Why are you girls wearing a leotard under your costume? I loved the video btw.
@kianasch5 жыл бұрын
I think it's because this video is of their dress rehearsal 💕

It gives an extra layer between the costume and your body as a tutu can be rather itchy or uncomfortable
@blancaah65 жыл бұрын
@@arielburrow9433 so... You are not supposed to wear anything... it's a two hour performance and then you are done... I'm sure their pointe shoes are much more unconfortable...
@arielburrow94335 жыл бұрын
Mariaah Not necessarily. If you can find a way to hide the nude leotard from the audience it’s not a big deal. I always wear a nude leotard under mine. It’s not that big of a deal haha

@@arielburrow9433 If you were allowed then great. I wasn't allowed, that's why I said it. And in profesional companies you wouldn't be allowed either.

@@AlenaMcKenzie OMG you're the first ballerina youtuber i watch that didn't start when she was a little kid!! I'm so glad you shared your age cuz I really wanted to start ballet (I'm 14 almost 15)... and even when people say "it's never to late to start" i get insecure because I'm not sure I would be able to keep up with it I feel much better now that I know that you started pretty much around my age and became such a good dancer! thankssss I'm really happy rn; but humm, can I ask you something? how long did it take you to get on pointe? & did you had a ordinary schedule (I mean regular school and stuff) or did you dedicate your teenagehood to ballet?
