It was refreshing to find out some pleasant news after conversing with all of them and i would defintely reccomend checking out their vlogs, especially Boy Perstaym! I'm a day late and a dollar short to the party today, but I felt like I had to weigh in this afternoon. I watched the video and I just thought that I'd take some time today and just go about my business and think about what you shared. It took a while for it all to click in my head, but when it did... I hurried back to my laptop. I felt the need to get it down before it quickly disappeared. We've had storytellers in our midst since the beginning of time. Communities rejoiced when the storyteller came to the fire to share to enthrall the men, women, and children as they sat with their ears perked up and their eyes glued to his face. The storyteller was able to take their imaginations to new places and create excitement, laughter, and even terror. The storyteller has changed down through the years from a man at the fire, to a vlogger. He's written stories, stood at the microphone in a radio studio, and sat in the director's chair. Everyone loves a story and the storyteller's world revolves around sharing it far and wide. Stories give our lives color and depth. They allow us to be more than we are and help us to harness our own imaginations. They give us lessons and morals and help us as we grow into the people we want to be. Without storytellers our lives would lack fire and become flat and lifeless. Because of this, we lift our storytellers up to higher stations. It looks like the storyteller has returned to town to find that the crowd around his fire has become far larger and more vibrant. The great thing about this new medium is that whomever you come in contact with in the making of your daily vlog actually becomes part of the story. The story isn't just a single voice coming from you, but morphs into multiple faces and voices in the shared experience. And there are new things to discover throughout it all. It looks like folks are discovering that they have the desire to share their stories too. We all have a story to tell and the desire to share ourselves is deeply hardwired into our hearts. Voices differ and the way those stories are told take many forms. Folks are picking up cameras and sharing their lives and what they see through their own eyes. Yes, you have created that spark and you deserve heaps of credit for that. I've tried vlogging and I still do it, but my soul and my gut are connected to a keyboard and my first love is sharing through the words I plunk out. The important thing to pull out of all of this is that people are discovering who they are and are becoming willing to share that creative fire that lives deep inside them. Who knows where this will lead this new tribe of communicators and storytellers... The story has yet to be written or shared. So, keep the camera running, continue sharing ideas, and keep on keepin' on.
