I used to visit Musical Exchange in Birmingham regularly in the 1980s and 1990s for new sticks and drum heads and the occasional second hand cymbal. A mate has recently told me that Karl was one of the lads who used to work there at weekends. Nice to see that he's moved on and is doing really well - a good drummer. From a fellow Bluenose.

Great interview, Mike. Karl is a class act and genuine chap. Good on you, Karl for taking the time to share a slice of your life and the ''on tour'' experience. Love your kit setup as well. Very well thought out and it seems that Fred has got your back. One question if Mike or Karl ever read these comments: What in-ear monitors are you using? Make & model? Great to see a drummer who doesnt need 100 drums, he just plays well
